📋 About This Recruitment

The Territorial Army Directorate, Indian Army has released the Territorial Army Commission Examination 2026 notification for 12 Officer posts (11 Male + 1 Female), to be commissioned at the rank of Lieutenant. This is a prestigious opportunity for employed graduates to serve in India's citizen army on a part-time basis. Apply online at indianarmy.nic.in from 20 April to 19 May 2026. Written CBT on 12 July 2026, followed by SSB Interview.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification Graduate from any recognised University Any stream. The standard of CBT paper is approximately that expected of a graduate of an Indian university.

📌 SSB is two-stage: Stage 1 = Screening (Psychological Aptitude + Intelligence Test). Only Stage 1 qualifiers proceed to Stage 2. Those failing Stage 1 are returned on Day 1.
🏆 Final merit = Combined CBT + SSB marks. Separate merit lists for Male and Female. Selection up to number of vacancies available.

💵 Pay Scale — 7th CPC (When Embodied)

🎖️ Lieutenant — Level 10

₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 + MSP ₹15,500/month

Captain — Level 10A

₹61,300 – ₹1,93,900 + MSP ₹15,500/month

Major — Level 11

₹69,400 – ₹2,07,200 + MSP ₹15,500/month

Lt Colonel — Level 12A

₹1,21,200 – ₹2,12,400 + MSP ₹15,500/month

Pay & allowances same as Regular Army when embodied. Promotion to Colonel & Brigadier by selection. TA is part-time — does not guarantee full-time career or pension.

📋 Service Conditions

🏕️

Pre-Commission Training Up to 6 months training under TA Rule 20A Commission granted only on successful completion. 21 days Post-Commission Leave granted after training. Then 30 days training under Rule-19.

Annual Training 2 months mandatory annual training camp every year If not embodied for more than 6 months in a training year (April to March). Officers can be called for longer service if needed.

Step 2 Fill form with valid email ID & mobile number All communications via email/SMS. Select exam centre carefully — no change of centre will be granted after submission.

3️⃣

Step 3 Pay ₹500 fee online & submit before 19 May 2026 Save printout/copy of submitted application. Download admit card 10–15 days before CBT (12 July 2026) from the official website.
